SEAPHONE / DIAMOND DOOR (QUARION REMIX)
12 Inch
27.05.08
after releases from heavy hitters such as two armadillos, solomun and andomat3000 the mantle now falls to new boy class71 with his double a-side >seaphone/diamond door<. well, it would do if he was really the new boy, but he s not. in fact, this new artist is an alias of italian producer santos, who has pretty much done it all in house, techno and every other genre we could lazily list. rounding things off with a respectful nod to classic techno via moody stabs, lazy melodies and an airtight arrangement in the form of >diamond door<, it seems like class71 is a bit of a name to watch. don t take our word for it though, ame, sasse, djinxx and agnes are already backing this winner.

JOIN THE RESISTANCE PART1 (RED COLOURED VINYL)
Coloured 12 Inch
26.05.08
first 500 limited edition on red transparent vinyl! we are very proud to present the debut of 21 year old tim toh, a fresh producer with such a huge talent and character in his tracks, we guess, we didn t hear for the last decade in house music! that s a big goal to claim, but it s also the reason, we signed him for a three-part series called >join the resistance< and this is part 1. the a-side is like an intro to the whole series, starting with some charming detroitish-sequences and a smooth piano, while the beat shapes itself naturally out of the track with raw percussions and a thumpin kick... from then on it twists and turns into sweet eternity…timeless! the b-side is beatdown rhythmic wizzadry and a tool par excellance, polyrhythmic percussions and a beat that will shake every floor you dare to play it

MUST HAVE BACK
12 Inch
26.05.08
the skull returns to kindisch with four impeccably sultry and leftfield dancefloor cuts. >must have back< is silky, chicaning mix of ice-cool male vocals and slick, vacuum-packed percussion that will prove devastating to discerning dancefloors, while >lalalala< is a raw, spaced-out house jam that serves up spry, bouncy congas, wobbly bass and clipped hi-hat patterns with no small amount of dubby echo and delay. >forever ever< is a wonderfully trippy slice of minimal techno, a heady bass and percussion workout haunted by the blue, smoky ghosts of jazz keys. be careful - you may well find yourself hypnotized forever ever.the mood is less abstract but no less intense or inviting for deep, reverb-laden closing track >lovesong<. an insistent kick-drum and mind-bending fx make this prime dancefloor material, but the mood of the track is more complex - wistful, pining, mindful of the past, expectant of the future - a lovesong through and through.

MOONLIGHT EP
12 Inch
26.05.08
for flash lützenkirchen delivers three very classy dancefloor burners. first up there is >enter the moonlight<, an enchanting piece of thumping peak time business. a big bass, pumping beats and some great oriental sounds combined with far-out effects create a unique atmosphere. modern styles meet oldskool feelings! >on the shore< is even more oldskool than that. the fat and wobbly bassline pushes the track forward and creates the perfect antagonism to the warm effects and clicky minimal beats. the highlight - however - is the wonderfully written melodic piano piece that turns this track from wicked into wow! beautiful and tough, oldskool and fresh, slick and funky - all at the same time. this one is going to be huge. listen for yourself! at last there is >pokemon companion<, a more direct and solid piece of minimal tech. a drum’n bass like powerfully grumbling bass, and yet another memorable synthie pattern that seems to grow out of the buzzing loop like a spring flower out of wet grass - naturally and wonderful!
HAMLIN / SASCHA DIVE DUB
12 Inch
26.05.08
played by karotte, sebo k, shinedoes... >hamlin< leads us down a path so groovy, its hard to resist this dreamy tale from the very beginning. steady pushing drums define the tracks mood, amounting to a tactful combination of classic deep house vibes flowing freely against solid and functional percussive elements. drifting late night synths and childlike, ethereal chants osmose the mind of the listener, warming and arousing, spreading only positive energy on the dancefloor. deep vibes rec sascha dive takes hamlin off on his own trip, elegantly stripping down the groove of the original and spacing things out even further. this mix is a pure and prolonged snapshot of the orignals travelling mood, building the groove in subtler steps, emphasised by dives treatment of the chanting, spinning vocals and playful, live arrangement. opening with the same finely strung groove as >hamlin<, >snowflakes< introduces a beautiful and delicately dubbed melody amongst its bubbling rhythms

23.05.08
after his huge success >smokemachine< on freak waves jaxson is back with a release on one of his favourite labels. >miami flys< is a housy summer tune that fit perfect in the keno records style and will rock the clubs and open airs in 2008. hotspot is more stripped down and hypnotic but this time less is more again. piemont, the two guys from hamburg who released on labels like my best friend, hi freaks or yellow tail do what they can do best: they turn this track into a real club bomb..

LIGHT UP MY LIFE
12 Inch
22.05.08
mn2s prepare for another wmc anthem by presenting this collaboration with danism and true soul diva kathy brown. light up my life has classic written it all over, making full use of kathys soaring vocals this powerful performance is sure to make more than waves at this years wmc. kathy brown, one of house musics true divas, has worked with the cream of the house music crop. arguably her biggest hit in recent times was the international smash, strings of life (stronger on my own), produced by award winning production duo soul central. her powerful performance in light up my life ensures that the track will be hammered in the miami sun this year. whilst the original mix features those unmistakable danism beats and kathy browns beautiful voice the audiowhores dub presents pounding drums and is a much darker, main room mix. in contrast to this dj la roi delivers a much more garage inspired, sweeter take on the soulful classic. following up the success of commended releases such as truth is, mesmerise and most recently feelin you danism drop yet another scorcher on mn2s.
POLYTECHNICS EP
12 Inch
22.05.08
the polytechnics ep is the second release on df by silver city following the superb dubby ep from 2006. on the a side, the title track polytechnics has electrofunk vibes blending perfectly with new wave sensibilities. think greg wilson mixing up gary numan and you wont be far off. it rocks! and on the flip, nu disco don pete herbert (reverso 68/lsb) cuts up pendulo a heavily arrpegiated disco stormer and transforms it into yet another disco bomb. this was an edit that pete knocked together for his own dj sets and we loved it so much we just had to put it on the vinyl. last, but in no way least, is victoria jam which is a no nonsense heads down groover of a track that will get your dancefloors rocking. seriously good music. enjoy! plays by: ashley beedle, llorca, fabrice lig, electric press, reverso 68, munk, murray richardson, ajello, dubious...
ryralio records are back with its latest release by a young and very promising talent rising straight from the heart of lithuania. please welcome santi touch! the release starts with original version of candle. this floorshaker combines sharp and shaking beats with some electrified and jazzing vibes which will make a real move on your dancefloor. spin science remix enters deep spaces with sound that we call nordic house. it’s a little bit progressive,a little bit spacey and always deep – exactly what you can hear on other spin science releases on labels like plastic city, rotd and urbantorque. the release is closed by whare wurlitzer dub. this deep and dubby version is brought to you from vienna‘s freshest project whare. watch out for those guys as their new record label takes departure in a few months and it will hit your record players quite heavily.

DONT LET GO
12 Inch
22.05.08
the superb disco deviance crew look forward to the summer sizzle with two wonderful edits by nu-disco don pete herbert (reverso 68/lsb). having forged a rock solid musical reputation with his and phil misons reverso 68 project, pete has also built a reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the dj booth. known for his love of the balearic disco sound, ph is part of the new breed of djs who are continuing the dj edit tradition by creating their own versions of classic and lost tracks for their dj sets. first up on this release is the amazing >dont let go< by tony orlando of dawn and tie a yellow ribbon round the ol oak tree fame. this track was tonys take on the disco sound and with its lush strings and mellow instrumentation it is a highly infectious, yet lesser known piece of disco history. a staple of ph dj sets this track is a definite killer summer groove. on the flip, the synth led italo disco sounds of ivans >fotonovela< are given the ph make over and turned into yet another balearic disco bomb. enjoy, play it loud and keep good music alive ! dj play: laurent garnier, greg wilson, ashley beedle, popular peoples front, jd twitch (optimo), faze action, the unabombers, jg wilkes (optimo), bill brewster, tim sweeney (bis), jim stanton (horse meat disco), harri (subculture),stu patterson

SOMETHING MORE TO PLAY
12 Inch
22.05.08
three new tracks by mix mup on mikrodisko. three musical statements, instead of drawing from a wide range of samples from old vinyl, as he did on his last release >dj of higher quality<, mix mup this time mostly relies on his own voice and an all-in-one sequencer. you can hear his love for raw chicago-acid-house b-sides, his affinity for italodisco and sonic experimentation. this is not about a clean sound and a clear arrangement, the tracks were produced in a moment for the moment. all tracks were produced in a single session, without quantising, without a screen, without a mouse. always with some scepticism and his tongue in his cheek
GENUINE HORIZON REMIXES PART 1
12 Inch
22.05.08
last summer, the berlin-based producer and well-known remixer chris zippel (who already worked with the pet shop boys, robbie williams or ich & ich) already celebrated his very personal interpretation of modern and complex ambient between zwischen triphop beats and melancholic pop references by his genuine horizon album. with this ep, chillout producer zippel has chosen a way quite unusual for him by taking four tracks of the album, making them compatible for the dancefloor with a number of co-producers and proving that dub is still up-to-date in 2008. the ep starts with an interpretaton of electronic spain recordings producer mangelt: again, a straightforward energy flash between reminiscence and modern club sound, takes on the powerful post acid minimalhouse sound a la steve bug. the dane mike salta turns mirror dawn into deep techhouse dub, and also the schwerin-based downtempo producer andre muelle alias vakuum sounds shows that he is influenced by a timelessly valid unterstanding of dub and fragmented s mples by his version of glacier. finally, the tribal progressive house dub of blade remixed by kling klong impresario namito (berlin), undoubtedly the most famous remixer on this ep, goes right into your hips

the tracks are already gracing the decks of the likes of jeff mills, laurent garnier, carl craig, richie hawtin, and claude young among many others. lawrence and lenny burden, announce the release of their new single, >i need release<€,b/w >here comes the push<, on their own reborn label, 430 west records. collaborating once again with ann saunderson (the vocalist on their hit single >blackwater<, 2002), and mc p.gruv (from their >the theory of everything< album, 2004), the brothers have produced a dance floor heavy double sided single. >i need release< blends anna s angelic vocals with the burden s signature rough and tumble production style, while >here comes the push< takes a percussion driven ride off the edge, with p.gruv as your guide. this project leads to the release of octave one s first studio album in four years, >summers on jupiter<€,(september 2008), also on 430 west records.
